Dental restoration with post and filling

Sometimes the structural loss of a tooth makes it impossible to build up the filling in the remaining part of the tooth. In such cases, the filling has to be supported so that it is stronger and lasts longer. The missing tooth parts are replaced by metal attachments and then the tooth is restored with the filling material.
